William John Bayliss Obituary

This is an example of someone who migrated to Sticklepath from Plymouth for his health. There are local relatives so family connections helped him chose the village. The bearers are described as old friends so perhaps he had lived in the area earlier in his life. Burial in Sticklepath Quaker Burying Ground (Findagrave entry) . His wife Jessica Bayliss remained an active member of Sticklepath community living in Ska View Cottages and, for example, winning prizes in the flower show. Her blackcurrant jam was very good it seems! She is buried in Sticklepath too (Findagrave entry).
